Neuropsychological Assessments for

Clinical, Insurance, or Medicolegal Purposes

Cognitive, emotional, and behavioural issues can present themselves for many reasons, one of which is an acquired brain injury. The extent and pattern of difficulties can vary between individuals and the type and cause of brain injury sustained, but they can significantly impact many aspects of daily functioning.

Patients may experience cognitive difficulties in memory, attention, language, visuospatial skills, information processing, and higher-level thinking skills such as planning and decision making, along with other skills. Emotional difficulties can include depression, anxiety, PTSD, and emotional lability. Difficulty with impulsivity, low frustration tolerance, and anger problems can also occur.

These issues can be challenging to manage for the affected person, their family members and carers.
